Divine Power

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

No one but God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have divine power. And no one else can have power unless Jesus gives it to them or permits them to have it. Receiving Jesus is replacing our lack of power with His abundance of power.

Luke 5:24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

It takes divine power to make us children of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Mortal men cannot make us new creatures because that takes divine power.

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

It takes divine power for Jesus to enter our hearts.

Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

None but our Creator could create clean hearts in us.

Acts 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. No one else can purify our hearts.

To be continued.
